The SF SPCA recently welcomed a delegation of veterinary professionals from Japan for a special day of learning, connection, and collaboration.
Throughout their visit, our guests explored the SF SPCA’s full system of care and how veterinary services, community medicine, outreach, sheltering, and adoptions work together to support animals and the people who love them.
The delegation met with Dr. Park, Director of Community Medicine and Surgery, and learned about our work to make veterinary care more accessible in our community. They also connected with Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jena Valdez to learn about our veterinary services and commitment to high-quality care, and they chatted with our CEO, Dr. Jennifer Scarlett, about the SF SPCA’s broader mission and impact.
The day also included a look at our sheltering and adoption work, highlighting how each part of our organization contributes to keeping animals healthy, supporting families, and helping pets find and stay in loving homes.
A special thank you to Dr. Park and Dr. Ikeda for coordinating such a meaningful exchange and bringing our veterinary communities together. 🐾
